You know how important eating right and exercising is. But with our busy lives, sometimes there’s just not enough hours in the day to make it in. Or maybe you just don’t want to make the time to hit the gym, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find time to sneak in some exercise moves wherever you are and whenever you can.
One of the things that I love to do is house walking. I know it sounds crazy but it works. Just get up and walk or jog around your house. You don’t have to worry about how you look (no one will ever see you) and you don’t have to worry about what the weather is outside. It’s an easy way to reach 10,000 steps and depending on how quickly you’re moving, it can be a good cardio workout.
Another thing I like to do is pushups against a counter or wall. I admit I am not good at traditional pushups, but this kind is easier and I still feel some pain the next day, so I know it’s working. Do 3 sets of 20-30 and you’re good.
Another exercise you can do is lunges. When you’re walking around your house from one room to another, do lunges. Again, it’s an easy way to sneak in exercise- you can even do it at work too.
Dancing is also a great exercise. Even if you’re not going to the club, put on your favorite song and dance to it. Chances are it’s between 3- 5 minutes long. Then that song is over, put on another one and so on. Before you know it, you’ve been moving for about 15 -20 minutes and you’ve been having fun at the same time.
Whatever exercise you like to do, do it. The gym isn’t for everybody but there are ways that you can keep yourself fit and healthy in the comfort of your own home.
